Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension and promotes health and well being. Regular practice improves your breathing and outlook on life. Yogic themes are weaved into the class to offer practitioners helpful tools to integrate more peace into their daily life.
Yoga is a great way to improve your endurance for other physical activities. After a workout, yoga will help your body relax while stretching and strengthening. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a new student, yoga works on increasing strength, flexibility, range of motion, balance and stamina. Yoga helps build muscle and bone, improve joint movement and facilitates myofascial release.
Yoga is foremost about quieting the mind and cultivating the ability to move away from busy-ness and into stillness. Yoga gives us the tools and techniques to create a more peaceful existence, despite what is happening around us. Using breath as a guide, we can begin to draw our focus inwards, creating a more meditative and relaxed state. It's within this state that stress can leave the body and mind. In this calm mind we can experience more clarity, a more efficient use of our energy and a more conscious lifestyle that offers endless benefits.

Joy began practicing yoga over twenty years ago. Having a strong interest in dance, she was first attracted to the movement of the poses. She soon learned that there was so much more. The integration of breath, body, and mind brings her a sense of calm energy and well-being that she strives to share with her students. Her goal is for her students to feel good both on and off the mat. An avid storyteller, Joy enjoys relating the ways yoga philosophy may be brought off the mat and integrated into our daily lives. Joy is a 500-level RYT. She is also certified in Amrit Yoga Nidra and has completed additional trainings in pranayama, philosophy, yin yoga, and restorative yoga. She completed both her 200 Hour and 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings at Yoga Breeze Healing and Wellness Center.
Jenn began her yoga journey many years ago when she attended her first yoga class simply because she thought it would be a good addition to her normal exercise routine. She quickly fell in love with it and found that yoga offered some life changing benefits she wasn’t expecting. Practicing offered an opportunity to move the body and focus on the breath. In doing so, she was able to go within, quiet the mind and feel more at peace. More importantly, she discovered that with regular practice it became easier to return to the breath off the mat and experience some of those same benefits.
She graduated from the 200 hour teacher training at Yoga Breeze in 2019. She has a passion for sharing her love of yoga with others. In teaching, she focuses on alignment, breath and movement. She hopes that, in her class, people will feel safe and comfortable to explore all that yoga can offer whether it’s their first yoga class ever or they’ve practiced for many years.
In addition to yoga, Jenn enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and their dog. She loves hiking, reading and cooking.
